That sure looks like a nice grain box. I've never seen anything other than a actual plastic hopper used on a auger.  I guess that would work quite well though.

Well this is my last harvest pics. Straight cutting red spring wheat on some pretty big hills. Just finished up for 2017 a few hours ago. I definetly didn't take as many pictures as I should have

That is how dad and grandpa have always done it. Lay down a sheet of plastic.  Place tire on it. Another sheet to keep grain out of inside of tire.   Use tins to adjust to any truck or wagon situation. At night, remove tins. Fold plastic over auger to keep rain out.  Use tins on top to hold plastic in place. Makes cleanup when you move the auger easy, no mess on the ground.

Well the beans are as done as they can get right now. Need a good hard freeze to kill the rest of the weeds.

So I switched over to some other jobs. Plowing up some alfalfa ground for next year's wheat. 5-16's is plenty for the 1256 in hard packed hay ground!

Apple crop was down about 30% from last year. Quality was looking good, but about 6 weeks before harvest we had I bad hail storm, that sure didn’t help. I took a pic of the last load I hauled in for the season, which happened to be last truck for the day as well.    The beans went quick, I got to ride the harvester fo the first time, I usually don’t help with beans or corn, but I helped them make a couple of moves that day. The field was small so I got to just ride for a while. Sorry no pictures. Corn has been good for the most part. Looks like that will be on hold for 3 to 4 days with the rain.

Here are my 2017 harvest pictures. Be fore warned there are a lot of them between soybeans planting wheat and corn.

We finished corn Sunday morning and beans in early October.

The little girl on my lap in the semi is my niece.
