R.O.P.S that came with the IH 140 tractor

Recommended Posts

Picked up a set of R.O.P.S with the 1979 140 I purchased last week. Complete with all the hardware and roof . Would their been any literature on this . I've never seen one in person except in the buyers guides .

Great find and nice looking 140

I've been looking for a ROPS for a 140 for a couple years. The late 140 that I had. Had one on it until the tractor was burned in the machine shed fire.  The heat warped and twisted it so bad it was worthless

I would love to find one if only to use it for a pattern to build one.

Have seen one before at a sale.

Thought it was an awful lot of steel for a simple rops.

Maybe that`s the only way to achieve safety on such a model tractor.

The only tractor I have that`ll hang on my one pasture hillside like a goat is my A.

That rops would eliminate parking under my carport though.

Nice find !!

The reason you didn't see ROPS on 140s is that they were hard to get on as a open station and the ROPS made them much harder. Also they made putting the cultivators and fertilizer attachment a pain to put on.

Where'd the seatbelt connect when you had a ROPS on it?
