td14a hyd controls

is there a filter in hyd system td14a?

blade slowly goes down with motor running,

tank is full of oil.

what is cause?

Load check valve(s) or cylinder piston seals (packing)

There may be a filter on the suction port to the pump. Have to drain system and open hand hole to access. Is this a crankshaft drive, front case drive, or PTO drive? Jim.

i guess its pto drive, pump in front of rad,

shaft runs back to crankshaft.

Most of the old ones I've seen don't have a filter.  The older low pressure - high volume systems could handle more contamination; but they wore out plenty quick.  I guess we were used to rebuilding things more often back in the day.

 

If your blade is settling, that is a sign the valve spools are worn -- a common occurrence on those systems.

I have one that was on my TD-14.  Its problem was that if the blade is off the ground & I wanted to raise it, it would first drop an inch or two before going up.  If you think you could use it or its parts, I'll send it to you.
