Joystick loader control for MTA

5 posts in this topic

I finally got a picture of my joystick loader valve that I put on last year at this time. I'd much rather run this than my 806 with a loader. I had to make all of the mounting brackets for it and buy another spool valve to run the fast hitch. The joystick valve was $125 less the hoses and the single spool valve was $85 both were brand new. I bought the loader for $500 2 years ago and it's been abused but works fine until I find a real nice one. I highly recomend a joystick for a loader on older tractors.

We put a joystick on our 5140 and it makes doing loader work alot easier and faster. The other nice thing is it frees up the tractor remote valves for running other things without disconnecting the loader hoses.

The one drawback with a joystick or any cable opperated hydrolic valve is you don't have the fine control of the regular levers.

The factory joystick in our MX120 is the best I have used and its not close to my old 460s levers.

Pete1468, I'm glad you like it, maybe its a better made unit than I have used.

I have very good feathering and speed control with this one. It's matched to the output of the pump. The thing I really like about it is I think it looks better than a big old 3 spool valve on there.
