Tractor model duplicates

31 posts in this topic

So I was just wondering how many of you have more than one of a particular IH model tractor. I basically like everything fro the 706D through the 7488. I am partial though to the 14's, my all time favorite being the 1466. We have a 1456, 1466 and two 1486's. Wish we had three 1466's:wub:. Know of a cattle farm west of us in SD that has 11 1486's. I have not been there and could be 10 or 12 I am not sure, but obviously he likes those. Also know of a cattle farm near me that has a dozen or so 2+2's. So just for fun how many do y'all have or know of?

We have 2 identical 1066's that we bought new and still have.

Used to plow with IH 155 onland 5 bottom plows and they would go right down the field together.

Couldnt tell them apart so dad put extra IH decal on his doors.

If it's the farm I'm thinking back in the day they had a 5020,1135,1466 the 14 would out work them all so they dumped them all every one was in that 130-140 range. So he said bring them to there knees the 5020 ,1135 feel on there face no torque rise, but that old 1466 went right close to 240 before it gave up from then every hired man had their own 1486

I have two 1066 and a M and Super M if those are close enough to count. I would own 100 1066 if I had room to park 'em. I just love the simple ruggedness of the old girls👍
