have a 1086 with 5000hrs im second owner. first owner shifted the h*** out of it due to the wear marks on the range and speed select levers. i know im due for some range and speed cover overhauls. my questions is should the speed lever be able to hang inbetween gears? when i take it from one gear to another it seems like u can leave it hang inbtwn gears like a neutral position. im asking so i know what to expect when everything is tightened up or replaced. thanks, ty

my 2+2 when i shift say from 2 to 3 it's tight once you put in it it stays it shouldn't be hangin out i'm not sure how to fix that but check the cables and try tightenin them up i guess

yes, there is a sweet spot between the gears, more so in between 2 and 3 but its not a good idea to use as neutral
