They have learned from past experience that when they do something that causes us to suspend food aid all they have to do is threaten even more outrageous behavior and will will again agree to more food if if they promise not to do it.

Should have let Douglas Macarthur finish the job he started there in the 50's, but Truman was afraid he would run for president and defeat him. Politics is not always whats best in the long run.

Umm, the real issue was Macarthur wanted to keep on matching into China. That would have been a big old can of worms.
None the less North Korea is the biggest misfit country out there. They have nothing, can't even feed their own people but yet think the world revolves around them, well their leaderhip anyway. The pesents are just stuck in the middle.
