IS THERE ANY CASEIH BUILT TRACTORS THAT USE THE SAME PARTS AS THE IH 88'SERIES? WHAT PARTS ARE THEY? ALSO DID CASEIH USE THE IH ENGINE IN ANY OF THE CASEIH TRACTORS? MAINLY THE LARGER TRACTORS.

There's not enough space to list all of the parts from IH that were used in the Magnum. Basically 95% from the flywheel to the hitch. The larger tractors used a Cummins/CDC engine. The german IH engine was used up untill the C series small tractors came out. Eason

IH sold the ag division to Tenneco in 1985, and kept the truck division.
The American-built 400-series engines went with the truck division.
Case either didn't want to pay for the IH engine, or Navistar wouldn't sell them engines. I believe if IH had continued on, the Magnums would've had intercooled DT466 engines.

case IH used the same 2wd HD square axle from the 5488 on the maxxum MX110 up to the Magnum MX220.
and Eason is correct. up to the MX magnums, from the flywheel back is all IH. and derived from the 5X88 series. After the MX magnum series, they use the same clutch pack designs. very little IH left in the NEW magnums anymore.
