I am wanting to purchase an IH 2250 loader for my Farmall 706 and have a question about the mounting brackets. Are the brackets for a 706 specific to that model or will brackets from another model of tractor fit my 706? I would like to know this information in case I run across a loader.

The brackets for those loaders are pretty simple. An 06/56 is narrower in the frame than a 66/86/88, so if the loader is off of a 66/86/88 you might have to stretch something. I don't know how the frame between an 806 and a 706 compares, but I think they're the same length. Could be wrong though. A good welding shop should be able to make about any IH mounts work within reason.

You're right Magnum. I don't know what the HP rating is on the 2250, that would be something to check out. I've seen em on 885's. Neighbor has a 2350 on a 806, that is a heavy loader.

There are two general types of brackets. The first are for the 74, 84, 85, and 95 series tractors, eg 674, 684, 685, 695, etc. the second type fit the Farmall type tractors. The front mount is the same from the F460 on up to the F686. There also is a special mount for the 766, 786, and 886. The rear mounts for the Farmalls vary a bit. the best place to look is on the parts breakdown in the parts book. Usually they fit on the 706 without 1/2 inch spacers. For the Farmall 460, 544, 656, 666, and 686 you need two spacers on each side. Take a look at the parts book. I don't know if some of the brackets are still available but it is worth taking a look.

i have 2 2250 loaders. one is on a 656 and the other is on a 784. the 656 brackets will interchange between the farmall and the international 656, but when the 656 hydro went down and i wanted to put the 2250 on the 826, the 826 bolt patterns both front and back didn't line up with the 656 brackets. plus, the 826 is longer front-to-clutch housing than the 656. i would expect the 706 and 806/826 to be the same. a 2250 loader would be pushing its limit with a 706. i've cracked the frame just using it with a 66" bucket on a 656. i'd say be cautious with a 2250 or wait for a 2350 loader.

I have seen them on 756's and 706's around here you just need the rowcrop brakets and you have to drill the side rails for the back bracket there is no holes already made for them.If you want some Pictures I have rowcrop brakets on my 686 and 560 for my 2250 loader You just have to be careful with them with larger tractors. If your tires are load and you have alot wheels wieghts on the back like Bill said you will brake them up. In that case I would look for a heavier loader

look for a 2350 loader ,the 2350 brackets will not fit a 06-56 ,but it would be easy to build some brackets for a 06-56 ,the rear brackets could be modified ,but the fronts would have to be be built.
To all the white people of America who honestly feel that the black people have been so mistreated and given such a bad deal in this country I can only suggest that you should move yourself and your family, if you have such, into one of their neighborhoods and do everything necessary to become a integral part of their society, make every effort to blend your lifestyle into theirs, go to their stores, churches, and social gathering places for your needed things in life. send your children to schools where their children are the majority of the enrollment, and where they mostly compose the faculty and administration, get a job where they are in the majority and hold the important management positions...and most importantly of all, go the many prisons where they are being, justly...and unjustly, incarcerated and visit them and see them trying to be rehabilitated, but obviously so suppressed in their efforts that rehabilitation is just impossible. Then, after you have really gotten to know these people...many, many, many of them, from all walks of their lives and societies, and seeing their obvious appreciation of life in America, come forward and make suggestions as to how we white people should go about changing our ideals and society to better accept and integrate these people into our lives so that in a reasonable amount time there will be no more distinctions or differences in how we whites and blacks view each other and the hoped for blending and melding of our races can be completed and we can love and appreciate one another as you must think God intended.

I cannot take credit for these words ,Wish i could
