Hi guys,

Took this from acmoc site. Guy was seeking radiator cores for his old Cat stuff.

For those looking at replacing a problem radiator core I would like to reccomend General Radiator 1-800-336-2444 ask for Dan

I checked with numerous companies and they gave the cheapest price and longest warranty.

For example:
RD7 radiator-replacement core prices $1500-$877 1 yr warranty,
General has it for $675 with installation kit and 5 year warranty-the others did not offer this.
Gas 40 radiator-replacement core prices $ 1000-$717 1 yr warranty,
General has it for $525 with kit and 5 yr warranty-the others did not offer this.
They make them onsite in USA and I will have them in three Business days.
They are made with a Copper core with Brass top/ bottom plates and has correct bolt pattern.

I just ordered a core for my TD9. Cost around $345 plus $85 shipping from Chicago area to mid Missouri. Includes an installation kit, and had 5 year warranty. At that price I can't justify working on the old leaky core. Ordered today Dec 12 and it is supposed to arrive on the 8th.

Gentleman, good day. New on here, look forward to using the resources and helping where I can. I'll be young to some at 54 but don't let that fool ya, as second generation of a company started by my farther in 1946 I've been around this my entire life. Started in 73 running on an 18a with b-91 pan and moved up the ladder to owner in 91. Dad got started with IH as was the only one producing new equipment right after the war, bought his first new 14 in 47 from a dealer in Peoria IL of all places for 7grand. We stayed with IH and have rebuilt several 18 and 20's, but the 20c is my favorite, what a brute. Well I didn't mean to write a book so I'll leave this for now as it's time to go play.
