does a M gas tank fit a super M tractor im trying to convert a super m lp to gasoline

hello any M or super M tanks should interchange. they were the same from 39 to 54 i think. Even an Md tank might fit it would jsut have an extra outlet on the bottom. (main fuel and return inlet)
