well boys you know when you are getting old, whenyour fun toys turn into work toys. my monster truck which is built out of a 1974 IH 3/4 4x4 is now becoming a work truck. since we have no srap yard to go and play in (ok have a few cold ones then drive over cars in the scrap yard. since i have lost the scrap yard due to the people in WHOville, i have been temped to drive over cars parked outside the town counsil meeting, but the jail time might not be worth it, LOL) so now the monster truck will be used for hauling supplies into a lodge. in places the water should be at les 3 feet deep and rocks from h**L.
more to come thru out the day.

I still say KoO stands for Kind of Odd
Looks like a combination of 'Junkyard Wars' and 'Monster garage'.
I have seen pics of some of the Bushmobiles theyuse in Alaska that look like that.

Hey King, still sounds like fun to me. That winch could come in handy though.

Hey King looks like the sun is starting to shine again. Still cloudy here.

Are you going to put a deck on it to haul or try to pull a trailer?
When are you going out on the first adventure?

pf/l, the monster truck is going haul some freight in to a lodge. 2 miles of H**L and this will be the 3rd time in 5 years the monster truck has been call in to action. the water and mud is too deep for the regular 4x4 truck, chevy, dodge or ford can't make it. so once again the IH monster truck is called in to service. (note IH is above the other brands, the frame design and where the transfer case is located make a big difference for clearance.)
my dad and i built it in 4 days 5 years ago playin junkyard wars. total cost was $150.00 in torching and welding rods.
so here are some more pictures of todays action. the red cat worked great for the excellent lifts and control on the box being mounted. more on sunday.

pf/l, here some more history on the monster truck, if you have noticed that there are cables running under the truck to contect the rear end and front end. excellent for when stuck an have to be pulled out.

Hi King thanks for the link. I always like reading your newsletters.

Have you ever tried to find a cummins engine to put back in the Linn?

My brother can't get over how you managed to pull all of that together with only one good hand to use. He has always wanted to come up and visit with you. He isn't on Redpower at all though unfortunately.
